Our Exclusive Weight Loss Body Wrap is unique to Bay Area Body Spa.  We want our clients to know that this particular body wrap is designed as a series of wraps and the best results will come if clients can come on a weekly basis.  From tracking our clients’ records, we are seeing that those who come about a week apart are noticing a 2-4 pound weight loss, in between body wraps.  Most of our clients experience 0.2-1 pound loss during their initial body wrap.

Since results vary, there is no guarantee of weight or inch loss on the Weight Loss Body Wrap.

This is a very relaxing process where most of our clients fall asleep.  If it is your first time at Bay Area Body Spa, you will complete a short 1 page questionnaire.  Usually we encourage our clients to use the rest room prior to the wrap.  Once you are ready, we will have you go into a private room where you will get into the undergarments you want to be wrapped in.  When you are ready, the Wrap Technician will take a series of measurements throughout your body and weigh you on a scale and record your measurements.
  • The Weight Loss Wrap begins by applying the following proprietary creams on the client:
  • Cream 1 will be applied to the entire body to help create a barrier to intensify the weight loss process.  The ingredients in this cream will help to accelerate blood circulation in the skin and improve the penetration of a compound that inhibits certain enzymes, thereby preventing fat solidification and storage in the fat cell layers.
  • Cream 2 assists in reducing our client’s problem areas.  This cream contains a high concentration of essential oils known for their action in lymph drainage and the elimination of fat toxins and their metabolic waste.
The client then lays down in our warm Weight Loss blanket. The session is complete 45-50 minutes, depending on how quickly the client begins feeling the heat from the FAR Infrared Blanket.

After the session is complete, the Wrap Technician will provide you with wet and dry towels and will re-meassure and re-weigh you immediately after the wrap. Measurements are calculated and printed out for you for you to take home and track your results.

The Wrap Technician will provide you your measurements print out, and after care instructions.

It is important to realize that the weight loss wrap is designed as a series.  The best results come from clients who do this wrap more frequently in a shorter period of time. Although it is our goal to get you maximum results each and every time, we’ve noticed that the best results usually come after the 2nd or 3rd Weight Loss Wrap.

What to wear & bring during the Weight Loss Wrap:

Women: Sports bra or wireless and panties OR two-piece swimsuit

Men: Swim trunks OR Biker shorts OR colored underwear

Bring and EXTRA PAIR of undergarments to change into after your wrap.
How to Prepare for the Weight Loss Wrap:
  • Shower and exfoliate the day of your wrap
  • Do not wear lotions, oils or perfumes on the day of the wrap.  Deodorant is ok.
  • Do not eat at least 2 hours prior to your appointment
  • Drink plenty of water before your wrap.  8-10 glasses of water at least 2 days prior to your wrap is ideal.

If you are on medication or have any physical problems, you should always consult your physician.

Prescription Drugs:  If you are using prescription drugs, check with your physician or pharmacist for possible changes in the drug’s effect due to an interaction with infrared energy.

Certain Ailments:  According to some authorities, it is considered inadvisable to raise the core temperature of someone with adrenal suppression, systemic lupus erythematosus, or multiple sclerosis.

Joint Problems: If a person has a recent (acute) joint injury, it should not be heated for the first 48 hours or until the hot and swollen symptoms subside. Joints that are chronically hot and swollen may respond poorly to vigorous heating of any kind. Vigorous heating is strictly contraindicated in cases of enclosed infections be they dental, in joints, or in any other tissues.

Pregnancy: In pregnancy or the suspicion of pregnancy, discontinuation of sauna use is recommended. Finnish women use traditional saunas that don’t heat the body as deeply as an infrared sauna for only six to twelve minutes and reportedly leave at that time due to perceived discomfort. Their usage of traditional saunas at this low level of intensity is not linked to birth defects. Infrared sauna use may be two to three times more intense due to deep tissue penetration, and comparatively shorter two to six minute sessions hardly seem worth any minimal risk they may present.

Surgical Implants: Metal pins, rods, artificial joints, or any other surgical implants generally reflect infrared rays and are not heated by an infrared heat system. Nevertheless, a person should consult his or her surgeon before receiving such therapy. Certainly infrared therapy must be discontinued if a person experiences pain near any implants.

Silicone: Silicone does absorb infrared energy. Implanted silicone or silicone prostheses for nose or ear replacement may be warmed by infrared rays. Since silicone melts at over 200 degrees Celsius, it should not be adversely effected by an infrared heat system. However, it is still advised that a person checks with his or her surgeon, and possibly a representative of the product manufacturer, to be certain.

Menstruation: Heating of the low-back area of women during the menstrual period may temporarily increase menstrual flow. Once a woman is aware that this is occurring, she can choose to allow herself to experience this short-term effect without worry. Or she may simply avoid using an infrared heat source at that time in her cycle.

Hemorrhage: Hemophiliacs and anyone predisposed to hemorrhage should avoid infrared usage or any type of heating that would induce vasodilation that can lead to the tendency to bleed.

Worsened Condition: Should any condition worsen with the use of an infrared heat system, the use of the system should be discontinued.

Pain: Pain should not be experienced when using an infrared heat system. If one does, the use of radiant heat is clearly inappropriate for the person at that time.

Is the Weight Loss Wrap right for me?

If you are 20 pounds over your ideal weight, then this is the wrap for you.  This relaxing lay down wrap will help you lose weight, lose inches and burn fat!

How does it the Weight loss wrap help me lose fat?

Far infrared rays are unique in that it penetrates your skin deeper than a traditional sauna.  The body then heats up and works hard cool itself and maintain homeostasis; this results in a temporary metabolic increase and results in fat loss.

Where does the body fat go?

The Weight Loss System does not make fat “leave” the body. Instead, stored fat is converted into fatty acids and used by muscles for energy. The heating of the body and need to cool down through perspiration must be fueled by energy, this fuel comes from the converted fatty acids (now energy) that was released by the fat cells.

What kind of results can I expect after just one body wrap?

We will do a series of measurements and weigh you before and after the wrap to get measurable results.  We average about 6-8 inches off, and about ½ to 1 pound off during the initial wrap.  The more wraps you do in a closer time frame, the better your results!

How does Weight Loss Wrap assist in controlling weight?

Perspiring is part of the complex thermoregulatory process of the body that increases the heart rate, cardiac output, and metabolic rate. The process requires a large amount of energy and reduces excess moisture, salt and subcutaneous fat. Fat becomes water soluble at 110 degrees, and the body sweats out fats and toxins.

How does Weight Loss Wrap provide the same effects of exercise?

The heart receives a workout similar to a 6-mile run in a 20-30 minute FIR blanket session and the body perspires the same amount as a 6-mile run. Infrared blankets are perfect for those that do not have time for regular exercise or suffer from injuries that inhibit rigorous activity.

How does Weight Loss Wrap eliminate toxins?

Toxins such as sodium, alcohol, nicotine, cholesterol and carcinogenic heavy metals (cadmium, lead, zinc, nickel) and mercury accumulate in the body during modern daily life. The body eliminates most toxins naturally by sweating but the process is sometimes too slow. Infrared heat therapy stimulates the sweat glands that cleanse and detoxify the skin. The FIR heat technology simply speeds up the body’s natural process!

How does Weight Loss Wrap benefit my skin?

Infrared heat improves circulation, expels dirt & chemicals and removes dead cells on the surface of the skin. All of these benefits lead to a softer and firmer complexion.

How many wraps will I need?

This wrap is designed as a series and should be done more than once to receive optimum results.  It takes about 3500 calories to burn 1 pound.  The more your body is used to the Weight Loss Body Wrap process, the more calories it will burn, the more weight you can lose!

How often should I do the body wraps to get the best results?

We’ve found that the closer in time frame you do the Weight Loss Body Wraps, the better your results.
